Chelsea delegation attends ribbon-cutting ceremony for new Northeast Regional Vocational High School

Chelsea City Manager Fidel Maltez, Northeast Regional School Committee member Blanca Garcharna, and City Councilor Calvin T. Brown attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the spectacular new school building and campus in Wakefield.

Northeast Supt. David DiBarri welcomed the many guests to the celebration of the completion of the $317 million project.

State Treasurer Deb Goldberg, Chair of the Massachusetts School Building Authority, Mass. Commissioner of Education Pedro Martinez, and Sen. Jason Lewis were the guest speakers at the event.

Chelsea residents remember the outstanding service of former Northeast Regional School Committee member Michael Wall, who helped thousands of Chelsea students receive excellent vocational training at the school.

Northeast Regional has 12 communities in its school district, including Chelsea, Revere, Winthrop, and Saugus.
