Helena Bishop
1961-2024
Helena Elizabeth Bishop, 63, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, following a brief hospitalization at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
Helena was born in Chelsea on March 6,1961 to Maureen (Hearing) Bishop and Joseph Bishop. She grew up in Chelsea and Billerica and attended Billerica schools. She lived in Lowell for several years and again in Chelsea near the end of her life.
Helena liked making arts and crafts, especially ceramics; she loved her cats, especially Simba. Above all Helena was the proudest of her daughter, Brittany, who was the light of her life.
Helena is survived by her daughter, Brittany (Jordan) Pimental of LaCrosse, Florida; her mother, Maureen (Bishop) Halpin of Chelsea; sisters: Deborah (Wayne) Follansbee of Florida; Maureen Russo of Lowell; brother, John Bishop of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Bishop and a brother, Rudy Ludemann.
Final arrangements were made in Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helena’s memory to the Massachusetts Humane Society(www.masshumane.org).
