City has Disbursed Over $7,000 in Aid to Local Veterans

The city’s Department of Veterans Services has disbursed over $7,000 in financial aid to local veterans in crisis through its Veterans Relief Fund since its establishment in 2022.

This fund was created to provide essential support to Chelsea veterans experiencing financial challenges related to housing, utility, medical, and food expenses.

“The City is dedicated to honoring those who have served our country,” said Francisco Toro, Director of Veterans Services for the City of Chelsea. “Providing veterans with the support they need during challenging times is just one of the ways we fulfill that commitment.”

Chelsea veterans who are experiencing a financial crisis may be eligible to receive financial support through the fund. To learn more about the fund and determine eligibility, visit chelseama.gov and select “Veterans Services” under “Departments”.
