Paul Francis Moulton, Sr.

At 81 years of age, Paul Francis Moulton, Sr. passed away unexpectedly in his Haverhill home.
Born and raised in Chelsea, he was a beloved son of the late Roy Leslie and Pauline P. (Bent) Moulton. In his later years, he settled briefly in Raymond, NH and for the past 26 years he has resided in Haverhill.
He was the former husband of Jaqueline M. (Gaudet) Moulton of Chelsea and fathered three sons and one daughter.
At 16 years old, his first job was at Lester Shoes in Chelsea, He went on to work for Murdock Corporation of Chelsea, fulfilling government contracts making headphones for schools all over the United States.
In 1968, the Chelsea Record named him Chelsea’s first artist. “Creations Unlimited” was located at Arlington Street in Chelsea and he later established “Paul,” also in Chelsea. And he also specialized in custom painting signs and designs for local businesses on their trucks and vans.
Paul would often regale family and friends about home town.
In addition to his parents, Paul was also predeceased by his longtime companion, Susan Lewis, a son, James L. Moulton, brothers, Roy Moulton and infant sibling, Robert Moulton, and his dearest aunt, Esther Bent.
He is survived by his loving son and recent caregiver, Paul F. Moulton, Jr. and he was also the beloved father of Robert C. Moulton and his wife, Pam of Boscawen, NH, and Christine M. Moulton of Chelsea, Jacqueline M. Moulton of Chelsea, and several Lewis Family grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the Welsh Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea on Friday morning, August 11, from 9 a.m.
