CHA Saga Settling Down

Except for Mike McLaughlin and a few others,  investigators reviewing the records of the Chelsea Housing Authority will be sorely disappointed in the end to find out that massive sums of money weren’t stolen, others weren’t enriched and the CHA had very little to do with Chelsea city government or our city manager or city council.

The CHA, they will discover, was an unto to itself kind of place run by McLaughlin and abused by McLaughlin for his own greedy purposes.

The CHA receiver will be sensing the CHA is not such a badly run agency and largely absent of wholesale fraud, corruption and ineptitude.

In fact, the crisis has passed. McLaughlin is gone forever.

We have only our reputations to repair and the sense of disappointment we also share in McLaughlin’s constitutional inability to control himself.
