Ellen Patricia DePatto

August 7, 1945 – January 19, 2026

In loving memory of Ellen Patricia (Venezia) DePatto, who graced this world from August 7, 1945, until January 19, 2026. At the age of 80, Ellen departed peacefully, surrounded by the warmth of her family’s love, at Bear Hill Healthcare, after a brave and valiant battle with cancer over the past four years.

Born to the late Michael A. and Rita E. (LaFreniere) Venezia, Ellen was a proud daughter of Revere and Chelsea, where she flourished in the embrace of her cherished community. A graduate of St. Rose High School, Class of ‘63, she marched with pride in the St. Rose Lancers Drum and Bugle Corps, captivating audiences at state conferences with her rhythm and grace.

Ellen found her creative outlet as the owner and operator of Salon 312 on Broadway, Chelsea, where she shared her passion for beauty, leaving a lasting impression on countless clients. For sixty years, she stood beside her beloved husband, Frank A. DePatto, a partnership marked by unwavering devotion to each other and their extended family.

She delighted in life’s simple pleasures, such as accompanying her mother to Bingo games and passionately supporting local sports, championing her teams in the Chelsea Men’s Open Basketball League to numerous state championships. Her spirit was also found at the Winnisimmet S.A. Club, where friendship thrived.

Ellen’s legacy will endure through many loved ones: her beloved husband of 60 years, Frank A. DePatto, her dear sister, Susan Venezia Krasco, and her husband William; her brother, Michael A. Venezia III; the late Jean Gregoire; and Raymond Venezia. She was a cherished aunt to Michelle Santisi and her husband Carmelo, William Krasco and his wife Erin, Michael Krasco and his wife Jennifer, and the late David and Carl Dullea. Great aunt to Nicholas and Zachary Santisi, Jake, Ava, Jack, and Dylan Krasco, She is also survived by Frank’s children, Charise, Gregg, and Audrie DePatto, along with his grandson, Zachary Brown.  Ellen’s love will forever echo through their lives.

Relatives and friends will be warmly invited to celebrate Ellen’s extraordinary life during visiting hours at Welsh Funeral Home, located at 718 Broadway, Chelsea, on Thursday, January 22nd, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A funeral procession will begin from the funeral home on Friday, January 23, at 9:00 A.M., leading to a Funeral Mass at St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway, Chelsea, at 10:00 A.M. The services will lovingly conclude with her interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett, where her spirit will rest in peace among the cherished memories she leaves behind.

Ellen Patricia DePatto will forever remain a radiant light in our hearts, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire all those she touched.

Anthony S. Vozella

He will always be remembered and loved

Funeral Services were held on Sunday, January 11th in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals for Anthony S. Vozella, who died unexpectedly in his home in Saugus. He was 44 years old.

Anthony was born in Malden on October 5, 1981, to his parents, Anthony “Sonny” and Nancy Vozella. He was one of three children, raised in Chelsea. He attended Our Lady of the Assumption Parochial School in Chelsea and later attended Pope John XXXIII High School, Class of 1999.

Anthony was multitalented and had many passions in life. He began working as an apprentice electrician with his father and grandfather in their electrical business, Anthony Vozella Electrical Contractors in Chelsea and also earned an associate’s degree in Communication from the New England Institute of Art & Communication.

Anthony worked as an EMT for several years, providing a service helping people in dire times. He also worked as a 911 call dispatcher. Most recently, for the past several years, he was working as a machinist for Prattville Machine and Tool, Anthony’s greatest passion undoubtedly was music. He loved music and enjoyed being a drummer in his band “Last Born” and also enjoyed making videos using his creativity allowing people to enjoy them. Most important to Anthony was his family. He treasured being around his parents, his siters, his niece, his aunts and uncles, and all of his cousins. Anthony will always be remembered and loved.

The beloved son of Anthony F. “Sonny” and Nancy J. (Botta) Vozella of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Chelsea and Saugus, he was the loving brother of Jamie B. Vozella and her fiancé, Joseph Greene of Salem, New Hampshire and Stephanie Vozella and her fiancé, Tim Walsh of Chelsea; the cherished uncle of Caylee Hickman of Salem, New Hampshire and he is also lovingly survived by several aunts, uncles and many cousins and friends.
