Movie director Matt Aaron Krinsky, son of former Chelsea resident Debra Waxman Krinsky and Marty Krinsky, and the grandson of the late William Waxman and Doris Waxman, hosted the world premiere of his film, “All Saints Day,” Saturday, Nov. 22 at Cinema Salem. A sellout crowd enjoyed the movie and post-screening question-and-answer session.

The movie, a dark comedy, stars Don Swayze, Jeff Berg, Chad Dorek, and Aly Trasher. Gianna Simone, who is originally from East Boston, has a role in the film. The movie was filmed on Essex Street in Chelsea. It was written by Julianne Homokay.

“The movie is outstanding, the acting is superb, and I congratulate Matt on such an amazing directorial debut,” said Councillor-at-Large Leo Robinson, who attended the premiere.

Said Karen Cioffi, who has a role as an extra in the movie, “Matt Aaron Krinsky, an outstanding storyteller and director, captures the emotional scars left by a broken family in Chelsea.”

Chelsea firefighter Steven Waxman, Matt’s uncle, is an executive producer of the film. Also offering their support of the project were Matt’s uncle, Ronnie Waxman, and his partner, Misty Covitz.
