The City of Chelsea, and our police department in particular, lost one of its best this past week with the passing of Detective Scott Conley. Det. Conley, who was 52, was an Army veteran who had served with the Chelsea Police Dept. since 1996.
Scott was a highly-respected figure in our community who was known for his work as a Task Force Officer with the FBI’s Violent Gang Task Force in helping to dismantle the Central American MS-13 gang that operated in our city.
Det. Conley came from a well-known Chelsea family and was a graduate of Chelsea High School, where he was a popular student and athlete.
We know we join with all of our fellow residents in offering our condolences to Det. Conley’s wife, children, and family members.
