Curry College Welcomes Resident Into the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society
Curry College is proud to announce that Emma Blanchard of Chelsea, has been inducted into the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society. The Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society is one of Curry’s most distinguished organizations. Membership in the Society is limited to those students who have achieved Dean’s List every semester while enrolled at Curry College.
The objective of the Alexander Graham Bell (AGB) Honor Society is to promote and recognize academic excellence at Curry College. The Society is named for the famous inventor, Alexander Graham Bell, who was an early chancellor at Curry College. It was founded in 1971 to recognize and promote academic excellence through a variety of activities at Curry.

Resident Named to Dean’s List
Dean College is pleased to announce that Shania Velleca of Chelsea has earned a place on the Dean’s List for the Spring 2021 semester. Students named to the Dean’s List have demonstrated a serious commitment to their studies while at Dean College.

Trinidad Torrez Named to Dean’s List at Western New England University
Western New England University (WNE) is pleased to announce that Felix Trinidad Torrez (BS in Criminal Justice program) of Chelsea, has been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring Semester 2021. Students are named to the Dean’s List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

Ferreira Receives Academic Honors
Northeastern University is pleased to recognize those students who distinguish themselves academically during the course of the school year. Chelsea resident Barbara Ferreira, a Northeastern University student majoring in business administration, was recently named to the University’s dean’s list for the Spring semester, which ended in May 2021.
To achieve the dean’s list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career. Each student receives a letter of commendation and congratulation from their college dean.

Escalante Named to the High Honors List
Laisha Escalante of Chelsea, from the Class of 2023 was named to the Spring 2021 High Honors list at Pomfret School. To achieve this level of distinction, Laisha earned a grade point average of at least 3.670 and received no grade lower than a B+.
Founded in 1894, Pomfret School is an independent coeducational college preparatory boarding and day school for 350 students in grades 9 through 12 and postgraduates. Daysi Martinez Celaya Earns Dean’s List Honors
Daysi Martinez Celaya, of Chelsea, has been named to the Spring 2021 Dean’s List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean’s List that semester.

Luz-Margarita Ruiz Graduates from Bryant
At Bryant University’s 158th Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 22, 840 graduates of the Class of 2021 and their families and guests gathered on campus to celebrate earning a Bryant degree. Luz-Margarita Ruiz of Chelsea, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Information Systems.
“There has probably never been a graduating class more deserving of a Commencement and celebration than the Class of 2021,” said Bryant President Ross Gittell, Ph.D. “You have earned your degree under extraordinary circumstances. You successfully responded to unprecedented challenges.”
