State Rep. Candidate Roy Avellaneda, running for the 2nd Suffolk seat, announced his primary endorsement from the Boston Herald this week.
Avellaneda won a surprise endorsement from the Herald in the Special Election last winter, and his candidacy won the endorsement once again this week.
“In the 2nd Suffolk district, the Herald is pleased to renew its endorsement of Roy Avellaneda in the Democratic primary,” read the Herald’s recent endorsement.
“I am proud to have the endorsement of the Boston Herald again for my campaign,” said Avellaneda. “This endorsement brings even more momentum to my campaign going into the primary next Tuesday.”
The Herald endorsed Avellaneda previously for the special election held for the 2nd Suffolk seat in April 2014 when then Rep. Eugene O’Flaherty (D-Chelsea) stepped down to become Corporate Counsel for the City of Boston.
