Market Forge Retiree
Russell B. Brown, a retired employee of Market Forge, passed away Friday evening, November 15 at the Eastpointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he had been receiving care for the past few months. He was 83 years old.
Born in Chelsea, the son of Edward L. and Beatrice M. (Doane) Brown, he attended local schools. In 1952, he enlisted in the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1954 at the rank of Sergeant. Russell, who worked for over 30 years at Market Forge until his retirement, also spent many years residing in Everett. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and frequent visits to Wonderland and Suffolk Downs.
He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine (O’Rourke) Brown; dear brother of Thelma “Louise” Dichiara of Chelsea, Janice McCluskey of Everett, Earnest Brown of Everett, Richard Brown of Stoneham, Robert Brown of Winthrop and the late Theodore and Edward Brown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Brown Jug Host and Bartender, Little League Coach and Member of Many Organizations
Richard F. Henry, Jr. of Chelsea died unexpectedly at home on Thursday morning, November 14. He was 64 years old.
Born in Rockville Center, New York he was a US Army Veteran. Since 1990, he was a host and bartender for the Brown Jug. Prior to that, he was employed for 10 years at Hertz in East Boston. A member of the Cary Square Club, the Winnisimmet Club, the Irish Club, coach for the Chelsea Little League and CYBL and ran the annual Brown Jug Golf Tournament.
He was the beloved husband of Lisa (Thomas) Henry; devoted father of Richard F. Henry, III and his wife Julie of Salem, NH, Nicole Thomas and her companion, Jeffrey Camacho of Chelsea and Ryan Henry of Chelsea; brother of James Michael Henry of Burlington, Vermont and former husband of Stephanie Henry of Burlington, Vermont.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Smith Funeral Home, Chelsea. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Jane Nugent
Retired Data Entry Clerk, Devoted to Home and Family
Jane R. (Jones) Nugent, a retired data entry clerk, devoted wife and homemaker, passed away Monday evening November 18 after a short illness in her Wakefield home with her loving family at her bedside. She was 87 years old.
Born and raised in Chelsea, she was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Eva Jones. She attended Chelsea High School and graduated with the Class of 1944. She married Francis Nugent in 1947 and together they have shared the last 66 years in love and devotion to one another. Their union was blessed with two sons and a daughter.
She made her home in Chelsea for most of life, settling in Wakefield for the past 20 years. Jane also worked outside of her home for Kendall-Currity Co. in Cambridge as an early computer data entry clerk. She remained strongly devoted to home and family throughout her life.
Jane was a talented handcrafter she enjoyed all sorts of arts and crafts, ceramics and cake decorating. While residing in Wakefield, she was an active participant in the local senior center and served as a member of the Crafts Committee.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Francis W. “Fran” Nugent. She was also the devoted mother of Mike Nugent and his wife, Joanne Evans of Chelsea, Francis “Barney” Nugent and his wife, Denise of Scottsdale, AZ and Jane Robblee Smith and her husband, Rodney of Wakefield; dear sister of the late Evelyn Chaulk; cherished grandmother of Michael Nugent, David Nugent, Jason Robblee, Jody Nugent, Tim Robblee and Chris Robblee and adored great grand mother of Jakob Robblee and Mason Medbery.
Her Funeral will be held from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea on Saturday, November 23 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols St,. Chelsea at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend.
