Metro Credit Union gives $5,000 to Chelsea Collaborative

Metro Credit Union recently donated $5,000 to the Chelsea Collaborative, the second installment of a five-year commitment totaling $25,000.  The Chelsea Collaborative’s mission is to empower Chelsea residents and Chelsea organizations to bring about social, environmental and economic justice in the community.

Robert M. Cashman, President and CEO of Metro Credit Union, was pleased to present this year’s donation, stating, “Metro Credit Union is founded on the principal of people helping people, and we are proud of our long-term support of this deserving organization.”

The funds represent a multi-year commitment to support the Collaborative and its programs. The Collaborative’s programs are designed to strengthen the Chelsea community, and include Youth Employment Initiatives, immigrant and refugee assistance, housing and education assistance

“We are delighted to make this donation to benefit the Chelsea Collaborative and to support the citizens of our community.  One of our main goals is to provide support to the communities we serve by continuing to fund programs and services that improve the lives of people in our community,” Cashman added.
