The death of Helen Cesareo last week brings to mind the old days at city hall when she was a department head in pre-receivership Chelsea.
She was a competent, well mannered, thoughtful lady, the type who was known by nearly everyone in the city who had business to do with city hall.
Her death is a reminder to us all that a lifetime passes more quickly than we like to think.
When she was in the prime of her life, it appeared Chelsea City Hall would never change.
Now that she has passed, we are again reminded how vast the change has been at city hall since she worked there.
Even Helen would have liked the changes.
Our condolences to her family, and especially to Lucy Brown, who we know so well.
