Founder and Owner of the “Ultimate Women’s Apparel” Store
Frances Sylvia Merlino of Revere, formerly of Chelsea, died on October 12.
She was the founder and owner of the “Ultimate Women’s Apparel” Store originally established in 1969 in Revere then later moved to Peabody.
She was the beloved companion of Donald Dickerman; former wife of the late Arnold Siegel and the late Anthony Merlino; devoted mother of Heather Joy Siegel-DeMuro and her husband, Theodore, and Fawn Merlino and her companion, Mark Ringenwald and the late Ted Siegel; dear sister of Shirley Tocman; loving grandmother of Erik Ringenwald, Kristin Siegel, Krystal Siegel and Alexander Siegel; loving great-grandmother of Trinity Cabrera and aunt of Alan and Howard Tocman.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Torf Funeral Service, Chelsea. Burial was at Sudlikov Cemetery, Everett. Retired Machinist
Gerald J. Porter of Saugus, formerly of Everett, died on October 12 at the Epoch of Melrose Nursing Center. He was 77 years old.
A US Navy veteran of the Korean War and a retired machinist from the R and D Machine Shop, he was the beloved husband of Joan A. (Sperlinga); dear and devoted father of Amberlynn Porter; brother of Roy Porter of Lowell, Carol Parent of Florida and the late Patricia Doherty.
Funeral arrangements were by the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, Everett. Entombment was in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden. Contributions in his memory to MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 or to any Disabled American Veterans’ organization would be sincerely appreciated.

Norman “Nargie” Alpert of Peabody, formerly of Chelsea, died on October 11.
He was the beloved husband of Frances (Baer) Alpert; devoted father of Chelsea Emergency Management Director Allan Alpert and wife, Laraine; loving son of the late Joseph Alpert and Sara (Brown) Alpert; dear brother of the late Julius Alpert, Charles Alpert, Samuel Alpert, Nettie Klarfein Charlotte Weiner and Ruth Dickerman; loving grandfather of Robert, Jonathan, Justin and Lindsay, Amanda Alpert and delighted great-grandfather of Devin James Alpert.

Salvatore “Sam” Dellaquilla, a lifelong resident of Revere, died on October 11.
He was the beloved son of the late Donato and Addolorada (Palumbo); devoted brother of Anna Dellaquilla of Revere and the late Camille Milano and Pat Dellaquilla and is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.

Former Owner of Lillian’s Beauty Salon of Chelsea
Lillian M. (Terrio) Risco of Point of Pines, Revere and Cape Cod, died unexpectedly on October 16. She was 93 years old.
A former member of the Merritt Club of Chelsea, Lillian owned and operated Lillian’s Beauty Salon of Broadway, Chelsea for over 50 years.
The beloved wife of the late Edward J. Prisco, she was the devoted mother of William R. Prisco and his wife, Joan C. and cherished grandmother of Rachael A. Evans and her husband, Richard A. “J.R.” Evans, all of Revere; dear sister of the late Lorraine Mahan, Rita M. Pfiel, Walter A. Terrio, Jr. and Doris E. Terrio. She is also, lovingly survived by her sister-in-law Rita Terrio of Chatham, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt. 107), Revere on Friday, October 19 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours are today, Thursday only, from 4 to 8 p.m. Parking available left of the funeral home.
