We wish to offer our congratulations to City Manager Fidel Maltez, Deputy City Manager Devon Fields, all of our elected and appointed city officials, and everyone who loves our community for their role in Chelsea being named the winner of the National Civic League’s All-America City Award for the second year in a row this past Sunday in Denver.
City Manager Maltez brought his energy, vibrancy, and positive attitude that embodied the theme of Chelsea’s presentation, “The Chelsea Way.” Fidel did a tremendous job leading the city’s contingent to the national honor in what is the country’s most prestigious competition for cities, backed by Deputy City Manager Fields, who was the operations manager for the trip.
We also offer our congratulations to La Colaborativa President Gladys Vega on receiving the National Leadership Award.
We would be remiss if we did not highlight the outstanding work of the Chelsea Police Department, led by Chief Keith Houghton, which was featured prominently in Chelsea’s presentation.
