Arthur Deleidi

Avid fisherman and retired Plumber for the City of Chelsea

Arthur Deleidi passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, April 1, 2026 at the Care One in Peabody.  He was 82 years of age. 

Born and raised in Chelsea, Arthur was the son of the late James and Alice (Neri) Deleidi.  Arthur dedicated his working career as a plumber for the City of Chelsea, providing 21 years of service before retiring in 2003.

Arthur was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the ocean and boating always in search of a bigger striped bass.

The husband of Mildren H. (McHatton) Deleidi of Chelsea, he was the devoted father of Deanna Finnigan (spouse of Gary “Butch” Finnigan) of Saugus, Paula Deleidi (spouse of Ray Melvin of Peabody) Arthur Deleidi of Chelsea and Robert Deleidi (spouse of Stephanie Deleidi) of Omaha, NEA.; dear brother of the late Deanna Deleidi, Raymond Deleidi and Richard Deleidi.  He is also lovingly survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren,

A Memorial Service celebrating Arthur’s life will be held at a later date.
