Chelsea launches food truck pilot program

The City of Chelsea is excited to announce the launch of a new pilot program allowing food trucks and food carts in designated locations throughout the city during the summer and fall of 2025.

The goal of the program is to support local entrepreneurship, activate public spaces, and increase access to diverse food options in the community.

La Ciudad de Chelsea se complace en anunciar el lanzamiento de un nuevo programa piloto que permitirá food trucks y carritos de comida en ubicaciones designadas durante el verano y el otoño de 2025.

El objetivo del programa es apoyar el emprendimiento local, dinamizar los espacios públicos y ampliar el acceso a diversas opciones gastronómicas en la comunidad.

Women’s Commission, MassHealth offering workshop on pregnancy resources

The Chelsea Women’s Commission has partnered with MassHealth on a workshop focusing on pregnancy programs offered by MassHealth.

If you are pregnant or thinking about growing your family, this workshop is for you.

MassHealth offers a wide range of programs to support a healthy pregnancy, but navigating all the information can often feel overwhelming.

Please join the Chelsea Women’s Commission, on Tuesday July 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.for a workshop where they will  walk through the available resources and answer questions about the programs.

Chelsea Senior Center Invites Community to Annual Ice Cream Parlor Day

The Chelsea Senior Center has announced children age 10 and under can get free ice cream and face painting at its Annual Ice Cream Parlor Day fundraiser taking place on Thursday, July 17, from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, which will be held at the Senior Center, located at 10 Riley Way, is open to the public. There will be a live DJ and raffle tickets sold during the event.

The menu and prices for the event are as follows:

Ice cream sundae (with toppings) – $4.00

Banana Boat – $6.00

Plain Ice Cream – $3.00

Limber – $2.00

Meatball Sub – $6.00

Hot Dog – $3.00

Hotdog with Chips $4.00

Pupusa – $2.00

Coffee (free)

Ice Tea – $1.00

Horchata – $1.00

This fundraiser is held annually as part of the city’s efforts to go above-and-beyond in its support and programming for Chelsea’s seniors. All proceeds from the event will go directly toward the center’s programming and activities that enhance the quality of life for Chelsea seniors.
