The Chelsea Public Library promises to be a cool place to visit for patrons of all ages as the weather warms up this summer.
Children’s librarian Katherine Palencia updated the city council on library activities during the public speaking portion of Monday night’s meeting.
“I’m thrilled to announce that we are gearing up for a fantastic summer season,” said Palencia. “Right now, we are welcoming a wave of young learners from our Chelsea Public Schools. This influx is a testament to the vital role libraries play in fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning.”
Palencia said the Chelsea Public Library offers a vibrant space filled with books, resources, and programs.
“Let me assure you and the entire community that our library has a topnotch air conditioning system, providing an escape from the summer heat,” Palencia said. “It is a perfect environment to explore new worlds through books, participating in educational activities, or enjoying some quiet time. The Chelsea Public Library is a cornerstone of our community, providing invaluable resources and fostering a love of learning.”
Palencia said the library is looking forward to a vibrant summer season filled with young minds exploring the vast world of knowledge.
“I would like to extend a warm invitation to all the members of the city council to visit our library,” she said. “We love the wonderful resources we have to offer residents of all ages.”
