Member of the former Women of Chelsea Moose
Gloria M. (Arsenault) Amorello passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the Chelsea Center for Skilled Nursing and Rehab where she had been receiving supportive care for the past few years. She was 87 years old.
Born and raised in Chelsea, she was a beloved daughter of the late Arthur J. Arsenault and Alma M. (Chaisson) and her second mother, Bernadette (Gaudet) Arsenault.
She attended local schools and briefly attended college for a semester. A devoted mother and homemaker, Gloria also worked outside of her home as a store clerk with local variety and convenience stores. She was a member of the former Women of the Chelsea Lodge of Moose.
During her lifetime, Gloria enjoyed traveling and activities surrounding home and family as a doting grandmother and babysitter.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, the late Alfred Amorello, a brother, the late Rev. Raymond Arsenault; sisters: Marie Cormier and Marjorie C. Zuchowski-Jaslowich. She was the devoted mother of Marion A. “Midge” Dawicki of Saugus, Arthur A. Amorello of California and Jacqueline Vaczy and her husband, Kenneth of Lynn; dear sister of Howard Arsenault of Saugus, Armand Arsenault of West Peabody, Mark Arsenault of York, Maine, Joan Sarcia of Belmont and Carol Phillips of Chelsea; cherished grandmother of Lori Skory, Keri Lindstrom, Richard Dawicki, Jr., Michelle Powers, Keri Ocasio, Anthony and Angela Amorello and adoring great-grandmother of Ryan, Justin, Haley, Benjamin and Hannah Lindstrom, Brianna and Matthew Skory, Mia and Maddoux Powers. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and extended family members.
