RODENT PROGRAM AVAILABLE

Rodent infestation remains a significant problem in many areas of the City. The City does bait all public sewer and drain lines, but, in addition, the City Council has approved a program to bait private properties. If anyone is having a problem with rodents in their yard, and want assistance with baiting, please contact the Inspectional Services Department at 617-466-4130. As long as the owner signs a waiver, a vendor, at the City’s cost, will analyze a yard. If there is evidence of rodent infestation on the property, the City will bait the yard at no cost to the homeowner. In the meantime, all owners throughout the City are urged to clean and maintain their private properties, including buildings, yards, and parking lots.
