Jordan Fern-Amodeo 

Newborn

Jordan C. Fern-Amodeo died at Children’s Hospital in Boston on July 28. He was 25 days old.

He was the beloved son of Ashley Fern of Chelsea and Jackie Amodeo of East Boston; brother of Hailey N. Fern of Chelsea; dear grandson of Joseph and Christine Fern of Chelsea, Dawn and Thomas Clark and Jackie Amodeo, Sr., all of East Boston; great-grandson of Rita Rich of Chelsea and Linda Boyer and John Amodeo, both of East Boston and is also lovingly survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

His Funeral will be held from the William R. Carafa & Son Home For Funerals, 389 Washington Ave., Chelsea today, Thursday, August 2 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols St., Chelsea at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cherubs, 3650 Rogers Rd. #290 Wake Forest, NC 27587

Michael Ivaldi, Sr. 

Of Revere, Formerly of Winthrop 

Michael C. Ivaldi, Sr. of Revere, formerly of Winthrop, died suddenly on July 23. He was 38 years old.

Mr. Ivaldi was employed in the culinary arts.

Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of Suzanne (Pires) Lentini and her husband, Gary of Marblehead and the late Richard B. Ivaldi Sr.; the devoted father of Michael C. “The Boopa” Ivaldi, Jr. and boyfriend of Nichole Anderson, both of Revere.; cherished grandson of Sara Ivaldi and the late Charles G. Ivaldi of S. Weymouth, formerly of Winthrop, and the late Alberto and Marie Pires; dear brother of Elena Ivaldi-Crowley and her husband, Stephen of South Weymouth, Richard B. Ivaldi Jr. of Marblehead, Nicole Ivaldi and John J. Recca Jr., both of Winthrop, and Vanessa Recca of Chelsea. He was the uncle of many nieces and nephews and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral arrangements were by the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, Winthrop. Jon Dalis 

Former Chelsea City Clerk and Alderman-at-Large 

John P. Dalis of Chelsea died on July 27.

The Chelsea City Clerk for 26 years (1966-1992), he worked for many years at the Dalis Diner in Chelsea Square. He was a founding member and served on the Board of Directors of the Metro Credit Union and as Alderman-at-Large on the Chelsea Board of Alderman (1964-1966.) He was an active member of the Robert Lesh Lodge of the Masons, Star of Bethlehem Lodge, AF-AM Current, Commander #41 Knights Templar (work with the Blind), Shriners Alepoo Temple, Hellenic Square & Compass Clubs, as well as the Merritt Club S&A, Chelsea.

He was the son of the late Peter C. and Constance (Stasinopoulas); brother of the late Christ, George, Paul and Bessie Dalis and uncle of Philip Dalis of Stoneham, Peter and James Dalis of Andover, Gary Dalis of Melrose, Constance Dalis, Debra Spalvins and Pamela Cranmer, all of Naples, FL.

Eleanor Lawson 

Of Peabody, Formerly of Chelsea 

Eleanor (Sworin) Lawson of Peabody, formerly of Revere, Winthrop and Chelsea, died on July 26. She was 87 year old.

Born and educated in Chelsea, she graduated from Chelsea High School, Class of 1943 and was a member of the Jewish Women International, Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Auxiliary and Temple B’nai Israel of Beachmont.

She was the beloved wife of Martin Lawson; devoted mother of Bette Bissonnette and her husband, Tom, Bruce Lawson and his wife, Jane and Ronald Lawson and his wife, Susan; loving daughter of the late Barney Sworin and Ida (Rosen); dear sister of Belle Cohen and the late Rose Aronson and loving grandmother of Adam, Alexander and Dvorah.

Leonard Block 

Of Weymouth, formerly of Chelsea 

Leonard M. Block of Weymouth, formerly of Chelsea, died on died on July 27.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of Esther (Terban) Block; devoted father of Michael Block and his wife, Anita, Sandra Winter and Martin Block and his wife, Diana; loving son of the late Charles Block and Rose (Freedman) Block; dear brother of Ann; loving grandfather of Matthew and his wife, Lindsay, Danny, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Michael, Leah, and Maia.

Of Chelsea, formerly of the North End 

Stephen R. Summa of Chelsea, formerly of the North End of Boston, died on July 25 after a long illness.

He was the son of the late Gaspar and Helen (Forte) Summa of the North End; devoted father of Gina and Steven Summa; loving grandfather of Tiffany, Steven and Destiny; long time partner of Janice Cravotta; brother of Barbara (Summa) Sullivan, Robert and his wife, Christine Summa and the late Joseph Summa and trother in Law of the late Jean Summa. He is also survived by a large extended family.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nicholas St., Chelsea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend
