Chelsea High basketball player Victoria Perez was named the MVP of the Commonwealth Conference All-Star Game held Sunday at Presentation of Mary Academy in Methuen.
Chelsea High coach Matt LaBranche coached the West team in the game. The East prevailed 45-40 in overtime.
Perez scored 12 points and had four rebounds and eight assists for the West. Also representing Chelsea in the All-Star Game were forwards Lindsey Fuentes and Tatiana Perez and center Shuly Sejour.
The CHS team received its Commonwealth Conference championship trophy at the All-Star luncheon. Coach LaBrance received the CAC Coach of the Year Award. Shuly Sejour received her conference MVP trophy. Victoria Perez and Tatiana Fontes received All-Star trophies.
The Chelsea High girls basketball team earned the right to be called “Champions” this season.
