Special to the Record

For the second year in a row the Chelsea Black Community and Clark Ave Productions joined together to produce a special Verb, Flow & Vision event for Black History Month.

On Saturday, February 21st over fifty people, including City Manager Fidel Maltez, City Councillors Kelly Garcia, Deron Hines and Lisa Santagate and school committee members Kati Cabral and Dr. Sarah Neville gathered at Spencer Lofts Gallery.  Joan Cromwell, President of the Chelsea Black Community, welcomed everyone to the event sharing inspiring words about the Black community’s legacy in Chelsea. She also spoke about the Black Heritage Trail that the CBC is currently developing which will be the first history trail of its kind in Chelsea.

The Chelsea Black Community is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the economic, social, educational, health, and safety landscapes for all members of the Greater Boston area. By fostering inclusive initiatives and building strategic partnerships, CBC works tirelessly to create a vibrant, equitable, and thriving community.
