Monica Cespedes Cruz sinks trey in final seconds for 63-62 CHS victory
Monica Cespedes Cruz sank a three-pointer with three seconds showing on the clock to lift the Chelsea High girls basketball team to a dramatic 63-62 victory over Lynn English last Tuesday.
The clutch triple capped an outstanding performance by Cespedes Cruz, who poured in 30 points to go with five assists.
Teammate Jaliyah Santiago Lozada also turned in a superlative two-way effort, hitting for 26 points, dishing out seven assists, grabbing five rebounds, and making two steals.
Coach Bruce Harrison and his crew are scheduled to host Everett this evening (Thursday) for a 5:30 opening tip. They will travel to Malden next Tuesday and to Revere next Thursday.
