Butler Named to Dean’s List at University of Maryland Global Campus
Katherine Butler of Chelsea was named to the Dean’s List for the summer 2025 term at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.
University of Maryland Global Campus was founded more than 75 years ago specifically to serve the higher education needs of working adults and military servicemembers. Local students contribute through Emmanuel Day of Service
More than 360 first-year students at Emmanuel College to make an immediate impact in the community through the New Student Day of Service.
Rising early on the last day of summer vacation, the students volunteered at food shelves, homeless shelters, and other organizations that meet vital community needs through the day of service. The following local students participated:

In addition to ecouraging new students to embrace Emmanuel’s rich history of serving the common good, the day of service helped them connect with Boston and each other.
