Philip Garber
Of Abington, formerly of Chelsea
It is with profound sadness that the family of Philip Garber, 82, of Abington, MA announces his passing on October 28, 2025. Philip was the son of the late Joseph Garber and the late Lillian Sussman Garber of Chelsea.
A graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1961, he attended Northeastern University and was a retiree of Solo/Sweetheart Paper Company. Phil was also a dedicated life-long fan of Boston sports teams.
Philip leaves his daughter, Kara Garber, of Abington, with whom he made his home, her mother, Eliane, his brother Jason Garber of Brookline, and his sister-in-law Cynthia Garber of Peabody. He was also the brother of the late Aaron Garber of Peabody and the late Edward Garber of Chelsea. He will be greatly missed by his large and loving extended family of Garber, MacDonald, Doherty, Bazile, Desir, Fils-Aime and Saint-Martin nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is planned for the near future.
