Donna Lee (Hanlon) Lush entered into eternal rest, Wednesday morning, September 10, 2025, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. She was 80 years of age.
Born in Everett, the daughter of the late William J. Hanlon, Sr. and Agnes M. (Brennan), Donna was a lifelong Chelsea resident and attended Chelsea Public Schools. She was a retired hairdresser, having worked in the salon at the Ritz Carlton in Boston for many years. Donna was an avid sewist throughout her life. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family.
Donna was the devoted wife for 58 years to the late Timothy J. Lush, who passed just two months ago; beloved mother of Paul J. Lush and his wife, Robin of Florida; dear sister of Diane Cahill and her husband, Francis of Foxboro, Joyce Runnels of Sandwich and her late husband, Dennis, the late William Hanlon, Jr. and his wife. Roberta of Holden, the late John Hanlon and his wife. Carol. Donna is also lovingly survived by three granddaughters: Deanna Buchner and her husband, Matthew, Andrea Lush and her wife, Shannon, Sara Day and her husband. Roderick and three great grandchildren, Lillian, Lucas and Lincoln Day.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Committal Prayers and Inurnment for both Donna and Timothy Lush at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA on Wednesday, September 24 at 1:15 p.m, Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Carafa Family Funeral Home in Chelsea.
