Ramirez-Villata wins fifth-place medal at Meet of Champions
Chelsea High star track & field performer Kiara Ramirez-Villata brought home a fifth-place medal in the shot-put at this past weekend’s MIAA Meet of Champions that was held at Fitchburg State University.
Kiara’s massive toss of 36’-4” set a new Chelsea High record and was almost two feet further than her throw of 34’-5” the previous week that placed her in fifth-place at the Division 4 State Meet.
On the boys’ side, Red Devil Ariel Chacon-Aracena just missed the medal podium with a ninth-place effort with his throw of 53’-10.5”. Ariel won the Division 4 State Championship the week before with his toss of 55’-6.5”, which established a new CHS record.
