Joseph Albin Godin, Jr.
May 15, 1941 – September 16, 2024
Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend visiting hours for Joseph Albin Godin, Jr. on Sunday, September 22nd from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Welsh Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea, His funeral will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, September 23rd at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude with interment at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
At 83 years of age, Joseph passed away in the peaceful surroundings of his home with his family at his side. Born and raised in Chelsea, he was a beloved son of the late Joseph Albin, Sr. and Laura May (Reeves) Godin. Joseph was a long-time resident of Chelsea where he attended the Prattville School and graduated from Chelsea High School.
He was married to Margaret Elaine (Chamberlain) for 58 years and together raised four daughters and two sons. Joseph devoted his life to home and family. He worked as a Bus Driver for the M.B.T.A. and many of his routes brought him through Chelsea and surrounding communities. On many of his trips
he would be accompanied by his young children. He was a former member of the Chelsea Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E. and later was a member of the Saugus Lodge of Elks.
In his lifetime Joseph enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, following the Patriots, and he was a former coach with Chelsea Pop Warner and Chelsea Youth Basketball, coaching his teams to several championships.
Joseph was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Margaret Elaine (Chamberlain) Godin in 2019. He was the devoted father Jay Godin, Theresa Mallet and her husband, Daniel and Laura Godin, all of Everett, Cheryl Hanson and her husband, Arne of Beaufort, SC, Gerry Godin and his wife, Brigid of Merrimack, NH, and Margaret Godin of Saugus; dear brother of Bill Godin and his wife, Barbara of York, ME and the late Gerry Godin. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

Gloria Ann Willyard
September 14, 1941 – September 14, 2024
Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend visiting hours for Gloria Ann Willyard on Friday, September 20th from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Welsh Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea, A service will be held during the visitation at 7 p.m. Services will conclude in the Funeral Home.
Gloria passed away on her 83rd birthday, Saturday, September 14th at the Leonard Florence Center for Living with her family at her bedside. Glora has been residing at the Center for the past three years.
Born and raised in Chelsea, Gloria was the only child of the late Donald and Isabel P. (Sheppard) Noseworthy. She was a lifelong resident of Chelsea where she attended the Carter School and graduated from Chelsea High School.
Gloria was passionately devoted to home and family raising her two sons. She retired after working for 25 years as a Medical Records Clerk for the Whidden Memorial Hospital.
She was a former member of the Women of Moose and enjoyed ballroom dancing. She is also fondly remembered by many as the neighborhood mom, offering support and care to local children.
Gloria is lovingly survived by her two sons and their spouses, Donald “Donnie” Willyard and his wife, Linda of Revere and James J. Willyard and his wife, Christine of Nashua, NH. She was the cherished grandmother of Donnie Willyard of New Orleans, LA., Samantha Williams and her husband, Matthew of Vermont, and James David Willyard of Gardner and adoring great-grandmother of Lucas Robert Williams.

William James Hill
April 27, 1950 – September 13, 2024
Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend visiting hours and a celebration of life for William James Hill today, Thursday, September 19th from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Welsh Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea, Services for William will conclude in the Funeral Home.
At 74 years of age, William passed away unexpectedly in his home on Friday, September 13th.
Born and raised in Chelsea, William was one of ten children of the late Willie J. and Susie M. (Jones) Hill. He was a lifelong resident of Chelsea where he attended local schools. William graduated from Chelsea High school in1970 and went on to attend U-Mass Amherst and Salem State College.
He worked for many years as a youth guidance counselor, beginning with Project Upward Bound and completing his career with Choice Through Education, both in Chelsea.
In his younger days, William was an accomplished drummer and belonged to the Revere Lancers and Matadors, two well-known area marching bands. In his lifetime, William enjoyed music and watching old movies and was an all-around Boston sports fan following the Red Sox, Celtics and the Patriots.
William is lovingly survived by his beloved daughter, Julianna Hill of Revere, and his loving siblings; David K. Hill of Middletown Ct., Andrea Hill of Revere, Karen Iantosca of Malden, Debra Perkins of Plymouth, Darlene Willoth of Malden, Dianne Hill of Dorchester, Beverly Burrell of New Hampshire, Eric Hill of Orlando, FL, and Lisa Hill of Haverhill. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many extended family members and friends.

Ann Rigione
Of Chelsea
Ann R. (Munsing) Rigione of Chelsea died on September 15th. Born in Boston 81 years ago, Ann passed away early Sunday morning at the Brentwood Rehab and Skilled Nursing facility in Danvers where she was receiving supportive care as her illness progressed. A resident of Chelsea since 2010, she previously lived in Saugus and Revere. In her early working years she worked for The Hilton Hotel at Logan for seven years and as a nurses aide for 10 years. On March 1, 2005 she retired as an insurance inspector for Mass Property Insurance after over 18 years of dedicated service. The devoted wife of Patrick Rigione, she was the beloved mother of Charlene Logue of Revere, Ann Ciampi of Danvers, John Caseillo of E. Longmeadow and Michael Googin of Revere; sister of the late Robert Burns, Charlene Baker, Geraldine Sweeney and Charles Munzing. She is also lovingly survived by five grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach Street, Revere on Friday, September 20th at 10 a.m. Those attending the Funeral Mass are asked to meet directly at the church. Visiting Hours will be held in the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, Chelsea today, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will conclude with interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. It was her request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, PO Box 5021, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5021.
