CHS Volleyball Team Waiting for Tourney Foe
The Chelsea High boys volleyball team, which made a late run to qualify for the MIAA Division 1 State tournament with a 10-9 record, was awaiting word of its final seeding and first-round opponent as of Wednesday morning when the Record went to press.
If the rankings as of Wednesday morning remain in place, coach Gabriel Morales and his Red Devils would trek to 30th-ranked Doherty Memorial High of Worcester (16-4) for a play-in game. If successful, Chelsea would advance to the Round of 32 to take on third-seeded Natick High.
