I Support Calvin Brown
To the Editor,
Chelsea has an important election coming up this fall. That is why I wanted to take this opportunity to share my support for my friend District 8 City Councilor Calvin Brown.
For the past decade or more, Councilor Brown has been an integral supporter of Chelsea Pride Football. Many of us know that this program builds leadership and life skills in our youth. We realize that it’s so important to mentor our young men and women so we can help build their self-esteem and give them the respect and validation that young people deserve.
Calvin has supported our youth bye attending practices talking to the players and parents, attending games cheering on our players and helping out with fundraising efforts.
I have also seen Calvin’s commitment to our young men and women in his unwavering support of our schools as a City Councilor. He and his wife Sandra have had a stake in our educational system as they have had three children who have completed their schooling here in Chelsea.
Now more than ever, we need elected officials who are driven to give our children the skills and support that they need to enter the world confidently. I enthusiastically support the re-election of District 8 City Councilor Calvin Brown.
