Correction – Freight Forwarding

Due to an error in reporting, the plan for freight forwarding on Willow Street had some incorrect parking alignment numbers. The new employee lot on the vacant lot at the corner of Highland/Essex Streets will have 48 spaces in a heavily landscaped lot. The remaining 130 or so spaces would be placed mostly at 250 Marginal St. in front of the proposed new building.

Arlington Street On-ramp Reopening

At 5 a.m. on Friday, June 4, the Arlington Street on-ramp to Route 1 southbound in Chelsea will be reopened to drivers. The ramp has been closed since early 2020 for structural and safety improvements. 

Notice of Change: Williams St. Parking Lots

Public use of two privately-owned parking lots on Williams Street at Winnisimmet and at Pembroke Street is coming to an end after many years. This week, the City will remove meters and signage from the Parking Lots and public use will terminate. All vehicles must be removed or be subject to enforcement by the private owner. Public use of the lots ended on May 31.

Market Basket Vaccination Clinics

A mobile outdoor vaccination clinic will be available at Market Basket in Chelsea (170 Everett Avenue):

•Thursday June 3 – Saturday June 5, from 4-7 p.m.

•Thursday, June 10-Saturday, June 12, from 11 am to 2 pm.

Clinics will offer the Pfizer vaccine. Pfizer vaccine is free and safe for all ages 12 + regardless of immigration status. If you want, you can make an appointment at https://www.cic-health.com/marketbasket, but people will also be accepted without appointment. Those getting the vaccine at the clinic will get a $25 Market Basket gift card.
