Kidnapped Woman Escapes  

On Feb. 3, at 2:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to 175 Cottage St. for a call of a female party who reportedly freed herself after being tied up against her will inside the apartment. Chelsea detective’s responded and identified one of the males involved in the incident. The male was placed into custody. The individuals involved were known to each other.

Eugene Shiller, 32, of Everett, was charged with kidnapping and assault and battery.

Car break-ins

On Jan. 28, at 1:43 a.m., officers responded to the Carter Street for a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.  Officers were shown a home surveillance video of two suspects attempting to enter cars. Officers were able to identify two suspects a short time later. Both were identified and placed under arrest. 

David Amaya Alvarado, 20, of 50 Parker St., was charged with breaking and entering a vehicle at night for a felony.

Kevin Aguilar Ramirez, 23, of East Boston, was charged with accessory after the fact.

Not So Peachy

On Jan. 20, at 8:10 p.m., officers responded to Peaches & Cream located at 307 Broadway for a report of a B&E in progress. As officers arrived, the owner was detaining one juvenile female and police observed a second juvenile male fleeing the scene. The officers were able to catch the juvenile male a short time later. Both were taken into custody after the officers observed the damage to the entry door. 

A 16-year-old from Framingham and a 17-year-old from Malden were both charged with breaking and entering at night for a felony.

Tried to Stab People at Restaurant

On Jan. 31, at 7:30 p.m., officers received a 9-1-1 call for a man with a knife attempting to assault persons at the Floramo’s Restaurant located at 213 Everett Ave. Witnesses stated that an Asian male armed with a knife threatened a male and a woman in the parking lot. As officers arrived they were told the suspect left in his vehicle on Everett Avenue toward the Revere Beach Parkway. The officers stopped the car and placed the subject under arrest. 

John Cheng, 47, of Everett, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, to counts of assault and battery and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (knife).

Assault with a Firearm

On Feb. 1, at 7:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 95 Shurtleff St. for a report of two male parties standing outside of a house ringing a doorbell and acting suspiciously. One was reported to be in possession of a firearm. Officers were told by the reporting person that they observed the male hide an item inside a car. That item was in fact the firearm. The subject was placed under arrest.

Dean Todisco, 30, of 250 Congress Ave., was charged with carrying a firearm without a permit, threatening to commit a crime and assault with a dangerous weapon (firearm).
