Lynne Carbone

Of Revere, Formerly of Chelsea

Lynne Carbone of Revere, formerly of Chelsea, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on August 14 at the age of 55. 

Born in Revere on August 14, 1964 to Carole (Durant) Carbone and the late John A. Carbone, she was the devoted mother of the late Daniel John Carbone, beloved sister of Steven Carbone and his wife, Jayne of Saugus, John A. Carbone Jr. and his wife, Christine of Billerica, and the late Brett Carbone; cherished aunt of John Anthony Carbone, Connor Morency, Danielle Morency, Sophia Carbone and London Carbone.  She is also survived by many loving aunts and uncles. 

Funeral arrangements were by the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home,  Revere. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. William Gould, Sr.

Past President of the Former Chelsea American Legion, Past President of Chelsea Pop Warner and Coach for Chelsea Pop Warner and Little League

William J. “Bill” Gould, Sr. of Berwick, ME, formerly of Chelsea, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 14, at his home in Maine.  He was 86 years old.

Born and raised in Chelsea, the son of the late Joseph A. and Olive (Clark) Gould, Bill attended Chelsea Public Schools and graduated from the Vocational High School in Everett, Class of 1951.  After high school Bill enlisted in the US Air Force on October 19, 1951.  He served during the Korean War and just over a year and a half in a foreign land.  A3C Gould was honorably discharged on December 1, 1955.  

He returned home to his wife in Chelsea, where the couple settled and raised their family.  The husband of the late Dorothy J. “Dotty” (Clark) Gould, they shared 50 years of marriage before her passing in 2010. 

 Bill was a lifetime Chelsea resident before he and his wife moved to Berwick, ME, where he has lived for the past 28 years.  

Bill was proud to be from Chelsea and was very active in this city during the time he lived here.  

He was a retired engineer for the City of Chelsea, Sanitation Department.  He dedicated 25 years of service before retiring in 1977.  Bill was the Past President of the former American Legion in Chelsea.  He was also a Past President and Coach of the Chelsea Pop Warner, as well as a Coach for Chelsea Little League.  He was also a late member of the Teamster Union Local 25 and the AFL-CIO Local 853 Engineers International Union.  However, the center of his life was his devotion to his family, and he will be sadly missed by those who were blessed to have known him. 

He was the devoted father of Joseph C. Armstrong of Florida, Debra Doherty and her husband, James of Peabody, William J. Gould Jr. and his wife, Dorothy, Thomas W. Gould, US Air Force Retired and MSgt. Derek G. Gould and his wife, Andrea, all of ME.  Son of the late  Joseph A. and Olive (Clark) Gould, dear brother of Barbara Crowell of Florida and Lawrence Gould of New Hampshire. He is also lovingly survived by 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

A Holy Eucharist Service was held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Chelsea on Monday, August 19.  Interment followed at the family lot in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Carafa Family Funeral Home in Chelsea.
