CHS baseball team hosts Minuteman today
The Chelsea High baseball team will host Minuteman today (Thursday) in the Red Devils’ home opener for the 2019 season. The first pitch is set for 4:00 at Chelsea Stadium.
First-year head coach Rich Wilson and his squad opened their season this past Saturday, making the long trek to the south side of Boston Harbor to face Hull.
The Red Devils came up on the short end of a 12-2 decision to the Pirates. Highlights for Chelsea were provided by Nate Rosario, who had a single and a double, and Dan Guilamo, who had two RBI with a single and a bases-loaded walk.
Wilson and his crew have a busy week ahead, with a stretch of four games in eight days, all at home. After today’s contest with Minuteman, the Red Devils will host South Boston on Saturday morning at 11:00; O’Bryant High on Wednesday at 4:00; and Mystic Valley next Thursday at 4:00.
Free football clinic for youth at Chelsea High
Chelsea High head football coach Rasi Chau is pleased to announce that he is offering a free football fundamentals clinic for youth of all ages at Chelsea High School every Thursday evening from 5-7 and Saturdays from 11-1.
