Patsy Ann Miller

Of Chelsea

A Chelsea resident for most of her life, Patsy Ann Miller passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, June 20. She was 72 years old.

Patsy Ann was born in Ekron, Kentucky on May 28, 1946, a beloved daughter of the late Horace and Edrina (Ditto) Richardson. Raised in Brandenburg, Kentucky, Patsy Ann received her formal education in Meade County, KY and was a faithful member of Zion Grove Baptist Church in Brandenburg.

A devoted and loving mother, she began raising her own family in Irvington, Ky. She brought her young family to Chelsea nearly 50 years ago and has remained a resident of Chelsea since.

She married Joseph Miller in 1998 and they shared 30 years of marriage until his passing in 2008. Mrs. Miller worked outside of her home for many years at the Judge Baker Guidance Center for children in Boston. She retired in 1993 as a dietary aide supervisor and returned to her home to be a fulltime grandmother and guardian to two of her granddaughters.

Her life was all and all devoted to thank God for all of her loving children and family.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Joseph Miller, Patsy Ann was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Owens and a brother, Henrey Banks.

To honor her life and cherish her memory, she leaves her loving children: Jonathan Owens and his wife, Nicole of Salem, Jacqueline Owens of Seattle, WA, Jerod Owens of Chelsea, Jennifer Owens of New Hampshire, Angela Owens of Cambridge, Christopher Lydell Doss of Peabody and Joseph Martez Doss of Lynn. She was the adored grandmother and guardian of Jasmine Bereiweriso and her husband, Lawrence of Worcester and Le’Nae Jenkins of New Jersey; dear sister of Lawrence Lewis and his wife, Lynn, Linda Young, Stanford Young and Jessie Bright and her husband, Jeremiah, all of Brandenburg, KY. She is also survived by an additional 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.,

Arrangements were by the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home, Chelsea.  Interment was at Saint Michael Cemetery in Roslindale.
