Judyann Paxton

Longtime dental assistant

Judyann Paxton, a lifelong resident of Chelsea, passed away unexpectedly in her Chelsea home on Friday, May 11. She was 64 years old.

Judy, who worked as a trained dental assistant for many years, was born and raised in Chelsea, the beloved daughter of the late Ethel O. (Malveira) Mosier and William Paxton.   She was the devoted mother of Alicia Jewel Martin-Paxton of Chelsea and dear sister of William A. Paxton and his wife of Mississippi.  She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend graveside services at Holy Cross Cemetery, 175 Broadway, Malden, on Friday, June 1, at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Anthony Memorial – Frank A. Welsh & Sons, Chelsea.

Anthony Lombardi

Amateur boxer and past employee of Bethlehem Steel Shipyard

Anthony Lombardi, a lifetime resident of East Boston, passed away at the Everett Rehab and Nursing Center on Sunday, May 20. He was 78 years old.

Mr. Lombardi was a past employee of Bethlehem Steel Shipyard in East Boston. In his lifetime, Mr. Lombardi enjoyed boxing and was an amateur boxer.

A son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Fontana) Lombardi, Mr. Lombardi had been residing and receiving supportive care at the Everett Rehab for the past several years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Michael Lombardi and his sister, Concetta Rega.  He is survived by his brother, Domenic Lombardi of Melrose, his niece Donna Crowe and her husband, James,   of   Middleton and his grandnieces,   Danielle   Crowe-Danoncourt   and Christina Carmody and her husband, Brian.

Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend graveside services at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody, on Saturday, June 2, at 12:30 p.m.

Robert William Laffey

Of Chelsea

Robert William Laffey, of Chelsea MA, passed away in his home on Springvale Avenue in Chelsea from a long battle with cancer. He was 48 years old.

He is the son of Jean Laffey, and deceased Raymond Lafey, Jr., brother of deceased Raymond Laffey III, Francine Laffey, and Renee Zelaya.

Robert is also survived by his children; sons Robert Laffey Jr. Kyle Laffey, and daughter Brianna Collie, as well as newphew William Dorrane and nieces Jennelle Dorrance and Erica Mullen.

He is survived by three grandchildren, Emma, Ava, and Rachael, and great-nephews and nieces, Treyvon, Kylie, Aubree, and Leonell.

Robert was and still will be loved and very missed by many.

His memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 3 p.m., at Saint Luke’s Church, 201 Washington Ave., Chelsea, MA. Anyone that would like to come is welcome.
