Karen Walsh

Long time special needs school bus driver

Karen T. (Moreschi) Walsh passed away on Thursday evening, August 24 at the Massachusetts General Hospital after a sudden onset of overwhelming illness. She was 66 years old.

Born and raised in Chelsea, the beloved daughter of the late Marion (Culliton) Beffre and Ernest Moreschi, she attended school in Chelsea and graduated from Chelsea High School with the class of 1969.  She married Thomas D. Walsh and together they began to raise their family of one son and one daughter.  Karen resided in Chelsea for most of her life and was a resident of Everett for the past 22 years.  She also worked outside of her home for many years at Malden Taxi/Transportation Co. as a special needs school bus driver.   She was a member of the Women of the Malden Moose, Lodge 1910.

Karen   most   favored   spending   time   and   enjoying   lunchtime   with   her grandchildren and playing cards and bingo with friends.

She is survived by her forever loving husband of 50 years Thomas D. Walsh, Sr. of Everett. She was the beloved mother of Thomas D. Walsh, Jr. and his wife, Jenifer Lang of Malden and Nicole Copithorne and her husband, Richard of Medford; cherished grandmother of Kaitlin and TJ Walsh, Lilly Copithorne, Bobby Lang and Ashley Driscoll and adoring great-grandmother of RJ Lang. She was the dear sister of Michael McDaniel of Lynn and Owen Beffre, Sr. of New Hampshire and is also survived by many loving extended family members.

Funeral arrangements were by the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home, Chelsea

Jeannette ‘Janet’ Nemerowski

Retired Chelsea City Hall office clerk

Jeannette “Janet” (Pucko) Nemerowski passed away Wednesday morning, August 30 in the peaceful surroundings of her Chelsea home.   She was 87 years old.

Born and raised in Chelsea, a daughter of the late Zygismund and Bronislawa “Bernice” (Galazka) Pucko, she attended   St.   Stanislaus   Parochial   School   and graduated   from   Chelsea   High School.

Janet was married to Roman J. “Ray” Nemerowski and raised four children. She also worked outside of her home as a secretary/office clerk at Chelsea City Hall. Janet was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Ray in 1988 and last year by her son, Michael Nemerowski.   She is survived by her loving children: Elaine Boudreau, Stanley Nemerowski and Peter Nemerowski, her dear sister, Claire Kwiatkowski and she is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held from the Frank A. Welsh &Sons Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea on Wednesday, September 6    at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, 163 Chestnut St., Chelsea at 10 a.m.. Services will conclude with Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
