Craig Cojciehowski

Executive board member of Polish Falcons Nest 485

Craig W. Wojciehowski passed away on January 25. He was 46 years old.

Born August 1, 1970 in Enfield, CT to Walter and Joan (Trocki) Wojciehowski, he was a 1988 graduate of Enrico Fermi High School and Central Connecticut State University in 1992 with a degree in business. He worked in various finance positions throughout his career in Florida and Massachusetts and for the last 10 years, he worked with Mass Housing in Boston. Craig loved the outdoors and was an avid skier and boater. He was a huge foodie, Boston sports fan, and workout enthusiast. He loved discovering new music and playing guitar. Craig was proud of his Polish heritage and was a life-long member and served on the executive board of the Polish Falcons of America Nest 485.

Craig was a loving son, brother, uncle, and nephew and the best kind of friend – the kind that became more like family.  He is survived by his parents, Walter and Joan Wojciehowski of Enfield, CT; his sister and brother–in-law, Noelle Poole and her husband, Josh of Loxley, AL; his sweet niece, Arden and his uncle, Paul Wojciehoski. He was pre-deceased most recently by his aunt, Judith Trocki, who was a clerk of Suffolk County Superior Court.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Craig touched are invited to gather at the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home, 718 Broadway, Chelsea from 8:30 to 10 a.m. today, Thursday, February 2 where the family will receive visitors. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Church, 163 Chestnut St, Chelsea at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

A memorial mass in honor of Craig will be celebrated Saturday, February 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Adalbert Church, 90 Alden Avenue, Enfield, CT. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005

Lawrence Richard Crowley, Jr.

Chelsea DPW retiree and board member of the former French Club

Lawrence Richard “Larry” Crowley, Jr. passed away January 24 at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by his loving family.  He was 62 years old.

Born in Revere, the son of the late Lawrence R. Crowley Sr. and Pauline M. (Rose), Larry was a lifelong resident of Chelsea until moving to Nashua, NH a little over a year ago.  He attended Chelsea Public Schools and worked in the city for most of his working career.  Larry dedicated 22 years of service as a laborer for the Chelsea Department of Public Works, retiring in 2011.  He was a board member of the former French Club in Chelsea.  Larry was an avid Boston sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.  He will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and extended family in the City of Chelsea.

Larry was the beloved brother of Rosemary A. Dixon and her husband, Kenneth of Nashua, NH and the late Paula Crowley; devoted uncle of Shawn M. Dixon and Christopher L. Dixon, both of Nashua.

Funeral services were conducted in the Carafa Family Funeral Home, Chelsea. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.  Donations in Larry’s memory may be made to the MSPCA – Angel Headquarters 350 South Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130 or on-line at: www.mspca.org.
