Steven Langille

Of Amesbury

Steven A. Langille of Amesbury, formerly of North Reading, passed away peacefully on March 18.

Mr. Langille was a US Air Force veteran  and a member of the VFW.

He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Deering) Langille;  devoted father of Christine Langille of Beachmont, Revere, David Langille of Beverly, Loriann Latmier of Nashua and Sean Langille of Washington, DC; dear brother of Janet Dunbar of Derry NH and Barbara Djenelewski of Milton;  adored grandfather of Tommy, Ricky and Patrick and is also survived by  many cherished nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home  (Orient Heights) East Boston. Services concluded with Steven being laid to rest with Military Honors in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Steven’s life, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 480 Peasant St Watertown. 02472 .

Brian Peters, Sr.

Beloved longtime member of the

First Baptist Church

Brian J. Peters, Sr. of Berwick, Maine, formerly of Revere, died on March 3 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. He was 62 years old. .

He was a member of the Electricians Union Local 103, a  long time member of the Boy Scouts and a beloved longtime member of the The First Baptist Church. Brian loved the Lord and everyday he put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

The son of the Late Francis X. and Elizabeth P. (MacNamara) Peters, he was the beloved husband of Dorothea Filipowich-Peters; devoted father of Brian J. Jr and his wife, Angelica of Sanford, Maine and Dennis F. of Randolph; cherished grandfather of Nevaeh Faith Peters, Mattea Grace Peters, Brian J.  Peters III and Isabella Jimenez; loving uncle of Scott Murphy and his wife, Kim, Jessica Filipowich, Olivia Scarlet Filipowich, Christina Filipowich, Matthew Filipowich, Nicholas Filipowich and William Roselli. He also leaves his great nieces and nephews: Jack, Ilea, Aiden, Hayden, and Scott Jr. He was the dear brother in-law of Bill and Donna Filipowich, Ronald and Kristen Filipowich, and Lorraine and Joe Troville.

Henry Murphy, Jr.

Of Chelsea

Henry T. Murphy Jr. of Chelsea, formerly of Quincy and Lynn, died on March 20. He was 72 years old.

A member of Teamsters Local 25, he was the devoted father of Cheriann O’Connor and her husband, Michael and their children, Riley and Madison, all of Quincy; son of the late Henry T., Sr. and Edith (Lynch) Murphy; brother of Rita Corey and her husband, Chuck, Carol Sullivan and her husband, Robert and Thomas Murphy, all of Florida, Paul Murphy and his wife, Carol of Fall River and the late Edith Shenett and her late husband, Al. He is also lovingly survived by his companion, Edith Gallant of Chelsea, his former wife, Ann Crickett and her husband, Brian of Quincy, their daughter, Robyn Davidson and her husband, Matt of Weymouth as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Susan Jane Rice

Longtime UPS employee

Susan Jane (Rollins) Rice passed away Thursday morning, March 17 at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington. She was 65 years old.

 Born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Irving and Laura Cynthia (Findlay) Rollins, Susan attended Chelsea Public Schools and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1968. She received her Associate’s Degree in Business and worked as a customs house broker for UPS in Chelsea for many years until June of 2015 when her illness prevented her from working.  Susan was the current secretary of the Air Cargo Club of New England and was also a past president of the club. She liked to keep busy with her hobbies of jewelry making, crafts and sewing. She will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and extended family at the UPS.

Susan was the beloved wife of Garry H. Rice of Revere; devoted mother of Michelle Gregory and her husband, Vincent A. of Revere and Colby H. Rice and his fiance, Julie Vallarelli of Arlington. She is also lovingly survived by two grandchildren, Amanda and Brianna Gregory, both of Revere.

A Memorial Service and a celebration of Susan’s life was conducted in the Carafa Family Funeral Home, 389 Washington Avenue, Chelsea on Wednesday, March 23.  For those who wish, donations in Susan’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Robert ‘Sully’ Sullivan

10-Year resident of Admiral’s Hill

Robert J. “Sully” Sullivan passed away on Tuesday, March 15 at the West Revere Health Center where he was receiving supportive care for the past several days following a long illness. He was 73 years old.

Born in Cambridge on March 18, 1942, he was one of four children of the late Daniel J. and Grace R. (Cooper) Sullivan. He attended St. Mary’s Parochial School in Cambridge. His family later settled in Somerville where he  graduated from Somerville High School.

Sully enlisted in the US Army and served during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged at the rank of PFC and returned to Somerville.

A resident of Everett for many years, he worked as a Teamster/Truck Driver driving large tanker trucks with White Fuel for over 20 years. He later worked for the USPS in South Boston at the South Postal Annex as a building custodian. He settled on Admirals Hill in Chelsea together with his wife ten years ago. After retiring and up to a year ago, Sully volunteered his time as grounds keeper at the Immaculate Conception parish in Everett.

In his lifetime, Sully enjoyed walking along Revere Beach and summers following the Red Sox. He was a proud and longtime member of Teamsters Local 25, Boston.

Sully is survived by his beloved wife and companion of 40 years, Cheryl A. (White) Sullivan. He was the devoted father and step-father of Kim O’Brien and her husband, James of Bradford, Shawn White and his wife, Rosa of Everett, Christopher White of Boston, Kenneth White and his wife, Cheryl of West Springfield; dear brother of Lillian Sullivan of Arlington, Diane Sullivan of Stoneham and Daniel Sullivan of Tyngsboro; cherished grandfather of Brant and Corbin O’Brien, Shawn Michael White, Olivia and Vivienne White.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, Everett. Inurnment was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
