The city is mourning the loss of retired Chelsea Fire Lieutenant Harvey C. Raley Jr., who died March 18. He was the son of Ann (Follis) Raley and the late Harvey C. Raley Sr.
Family, friends, and colleagues in the Chelsea Fire Department paid tribute to Harvey, a personable and friendly man and proud father who was known for his excellent baseball and softball skills in local leagues. Among his achievements was pitching a no-hitter for the Dodgers in handing the Red Legs their only loss in the 1971 Chelsea Little League season.
We fondly remember Harvey C. Raley Jr. and join the community in offering condolences to his family.
