Longtime Filenes Employee

Margaret M. (Mastrangelo) Crowley of Revere died on April 24.

A longtime employee of Filene’s, she was the beloved wife of the late Peter C.; loving daughter of the late Angelo and Antoinetta (Steriti) Mastrangelo; dear sister of the late Dr. Angelo Mastrangelo Jr., Louise Santoro, Rocco Mastrangelo, Ella Hughes and Edward Mastrangelo and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Mildred Flight

Member of Former Ladies Group of Mt. Bellingham

United Methodist Church of Chelsea

Mildred (Butt) Flight passed away Wednesday morning, April 16 at the Eastpointe Nursing Center in Chelsea.. She was 97 years old.

She was a late member of the former ladies group of the Mt. Bellingham United Methodist Church in Chelsea.

Born in Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth-Ann (Thistle) Butt., she was the wife of the late Walter Flight, loving sister of Rev. George Boyd Butt of New Brunswick, Canada, dear aunt of Jacquelyn Legere and Sharon Cameron, both of Canada and Luann McManaman of Florida.

A Graveside Service will be conducted in Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St., Everett on Friday May 16 at 12 noon. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the William R. Carafa & Son Home For Funerals in Chelsea.

Richard Cleveland Benzing

Retired Self Employed Truck Driver

Richard Cleveland Benzing, a US Navy Vietnam veteran, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 23 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 70 years old.

Born and raised in New York, Richard was the son of the late Wardwill J. and Alberta (Bennett) Benzing. Upon graduating from high school, Richard enlisted in the US Navy on January 26, 1961 and was honorably discharged on January 25, 1965. He was a retired self-employed truck driver, who owned his own vehicle.

Richard was the beloved father of Angela Inserra of Florida; dear brother of Iris Salvi of Cambridge and the late Leilani Hendry; step-brother of Louann Houpt of Pennsylvania and is also lovingly survived by one grandson, Anthony and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private with funeral arrangements entrusted to the William R. Carafa & Son Home For Funerals in Chelsea.

CPL. Frederick ‘Bub’ Ford

Vietnam Veteran

Cpl. Frederick W. “Buba” Ford, H and S Co., 1st.Bn, 6th Mar 2D div., veteran of the war in Viet Nam, passed away in his home, surrounded by loved ones, on April 24 at 5.22 p.m. From a long term illness due to exposure during time of war.

Born on September 22, 1950 to Frederick M. and Eunice Ford of Chelsea, he was the brother to Kathleen Daniels, Beverly Lane, Paul Ford, Ann Farnsworth, George Ford, and Ronda Cordero and is survived by his three sons: Paul Ford, Shawn Ford and Jamie Ford; his daughter Becky Anne Greene, his stepchildren Stephen Allegra Jr. and Stacey Ford, his grandchildren Kendra, Paul, Jr., Trina, Tyler, Jordan, Jamie, Adriana, Bella, Andrea, Jacob, Chris Jr., Callie, and Kyle and his three great grandchildren: Dom, Brealla,and Atheena. All of whom he loved very much ………Semper Fidelis….Always Faithful…..
