Man, 33 Murdered on Sunday Morning

A man stabbed to death in Chelsea on Sunday his been identified as 33-year-old Francisco Dominguez, Chief Brian Kyes confirmed on Monday.

At about 1 a.m. on Sunday morning, Chelsea Police responded to the area of 115 Washington Ave. at for a report of a possible stabbing. Officers found Dominguez suffering from a life-threatening injury for which he was being treated by emergency medical technicians.

Dominguez was rushed to Whidden Memorial Hospital but died of his injuries.

Chelsea Police notified the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit (SPDU), which has jurisdiction over death investigations in Chelsea, Revere, Winthrop, and state property in Boston. Together, Chelsea detectives and Suffolk SPDU troopers have been conducting interviews and gathering additional evidence since Sunday morning. They are assisted by State Police Crime Scene Services Section and Suffolk prosecutors.
