Among the several hundred walkers who donned rain gear to participate in the annual Herb Chambers ALS/MS Walk to benefit the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home were (l to r) City Council President Dan Cortell, Councillor Brian Hatleberg, Councillor Leo Robinson, City Manager Jay Ash, School Committeewoman Lisa Lineweaver and Councillor Calvin Brown, with
Hatleberg and Lineweaver’s daughters Holly and Hazel. Each has participated in the walk for multiple years and all had great things to say about CJNH. “The work they do up here on Admirals Hill is inspiring,” said Cortell, who is a resident of Admirals Hill and long a supporter of CJNH. “Led by Barry Berman, a nationally celebrated champion of elders, the people of CJNH provide unparalleled care and compassion for our elders and others. To have to endure some rain drops while walking to support their work pales in comparison to the tremendous efforts that are performed up here on a daily basis,” said Ash. “We’re lucky to have them doing their work and honored to have them here in Chelsea.”
