The City Planning Board met on Jan. 22nd and made positive recommendations on four plans that were before them.
•It was recommended that the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) approve a special permit for Mai Phung at 71 Grove St. that will allow the two-family to become a three-family – though it does not meet parking requirements.
•Francisco Jorge got a positive recommendation to get a special permit to establish a church in the basement of a building at 350 Broadway. The special permit is required due to a lack of parking, which is the only regulation that can be enacted on a house of worship.
•A positive recommendation was given for Deborah Lochiatto’s request for a special permit at 35-37 Clark Ave. to subdivide an existing 4,000 sq. ft lot and structures which do not meet zoning requirements – including parking requirements.
•The Pandolfo Company got a positive recommendation for its special permit to renovate a vacant store at 682 Broadway (Olga’s Furniture) and re-open a previous driveway to the rear of the building.
