Chelsea Community Garden Busy Harvesting

The Chelsea Community Garden on Hawthorne Street has been busy harvesting this past weekend, with tomatoes, squash, herbs and other fresh delicacies coming off the vines. Here a busy bee buzzes the center of a gigantic sunflower in the garden, while avid gardner and City Treasurer Bob Boulrice hoists up three red, ripe Roma tomatoes. Boulrice said his tomato plants have been so productive this year that he’s already made three gallons of marinara sauce. It has been a banner year for home and community gardeners this summer with good amounts of rain and sunshine.
