Chelsea detectives are investigating two early morning stabbings reported at the beginning of this week with the first incident’s investigation already leading to an arrest of a Chelsea man.
Investigators were summoned to Massachusetts General Hospital at 6 a.m. Monday after a victim of multiple stab wounds was taken to the emergency room by friends. The victim, a 25-year-old male from Chelsea is listed in serious but stable condition.
After interviewing witnesses, Chelsea Detectives arrested Tulio Valdez, 27, of 57 Heard Street Chelsea Monday afternoon for the attack. Valdez was arraigned in Chelsea District Court on Assault with Intent to Murder charges. Police believe the incident occurred at a Franklin Avenue house party and are continuing the investigation into what caused the attack.
The second incident was reported early Tuesday morning when an 18-year-old Chelsea resident stated he was stabbed several times after being attacked by a group on Forsyth Street. The victim is listed in stable condition at Massachusetts General Hospital and is coopering with detectives.
