Free Summer Programs for Chelsea Youth: Tenacity and Nature Exploration
The City of Chelsea’s Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs is excited to announce two free, five-day-a-week summer programs for youth ages 6 to 15, taking place from June 30 to August 8 at Voke Park, 546 Washington Avenue.
Families can choose from two enriching programs:
Tenacity Chelsea – An engaging summer tennis and reading program that blends physical activity with literacy support.
Wild Wonders – A hands-on nature exploration program that inspires curiosity and environmental learning through outdoor activities.
Programs run Monday through Friday, with both morning and afternoon sessions, from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The sessions are divided by age group, so families should inquire at the time of registration to ensure placement in the appropriate session. In addition to these exciting programs, free summer breakfast and lunch will be served to youth daily at the park as part of the City’s summer meals initiative, ensuring that all participants are nourished and ready to learn and play.
“These programs reflect our commitment to providing high-quality, accessible summer opportunities for Chelsea youth,” said Bea Cravatta, Director of Recreation & Cultural Affairs. “We’re proud to bring learning and nourishment together in one welcoming space.”
