Special to the Record
On Saturday May 3, the Chelsea teen community will come together for the first annual Youth Rise Festival! A vibrant and empowering free event organized by the Chelsea Youth Commission, GreenRoots Eco, and local youth organizations held at Chelsea High School, 299 Everett Avenue from 12:00-4:00pm.
Organized to raise awareness around the growing concerns of youth mental health, the festival will feature a wide range of resources, programs and interactive opportunities, aimed at supporting teens. Local organizations will be on site offering information on jobs, programs, sports, career opportunities, interactive arts, stress relief, and civic engagement stations.
A key highlight of the event will be the Youth Speak Out, where teens will share their experiences, perspectives, and ideas directly with community leaders – including the City Manager of Chelsea – creating a powerful platform for youth voices to inform and shape the future of local policies and resources. The Youth Rise Festival is free and open to teens in the community to support the mental, emotional, and social well-being of Chelsea youth.
