The city manager’s office provided a recent update on work scheduled to be completed as part of the Downtown Broadway Utility Project (DBUP) over the next few weeks and what the community can expect in terms of traffic impacts.
The outline of the expected work over the coming weeks includes:
March 10 – March 26: Broadway Down to One Lane
• On February 10, a DBUP crew began working on Broadway from Fourth Street to Fifth Street.
• This work is anticipated to be completed by March 26.
March 10 – March 14: Broadway/Everett Ave Down to One Lane
• On February 13, a DBUP crew began work on Broadway from Congress Ave to Cross Street.
• This work will spread to Everett Ave as the work progresses.
• This work is anticipated to be completed by March 14.
March 17 – April 7: Broadway/Everett Ave Down to One Lane
• On March 3, a DBUP crew began work on Broadway at Everett Ave.
• Everett Ave should remain open as a single lane. Travelers will need to take the right onto Broadway and can use Winnisimmet Street to get onto Park Street.
• This work is anticipated to be completed by April 7.
